Treasure Boxes

Craft Materials:

• Recycled Shoe Box
• Acrylic Paints: gold, copper
• Black card stock or construction paper
• Assorted rhinestones, beads, faux pearls, and gold coins
• Aleene’s® Original Tacky Glue®
• Scissors
• Ruler
• Sponge Scrap
• Newspaper (to cover work surface)

Finished Size: 6”x11”

Step 1: On covered work surface, remove lid from box. Sponge paint box and lid gold. Let dry. Lightly sponge paint box and lid copper. Let dry.

Step 2: Measure and cut 1”-wide black paper strips to fit rim of lid and bottom edge of box. Cut two more 1”-wide black paper strips for top of lid. Glue strips on lid and box using photo as guide.

Step 3: Glue rhinestones and beads on black paper strips. Let dry.

Step 4: Stack and glue gold coins on center of lid. Layer and glue rhinestones and pearls around coin pile. Let dry.
